We weren’t aware the moon was a source of “dark power,” but apparently it is. And that power has been harnessed in one of Wicked Lasers’ latest creations, the Lunar laser. It’s a purple mountain of laser majesty — the most powerful ultraviolet handheld laser in the world.

Made of super strong aircraft-grade aluminum, it emits a 400 mW beam with a wavelength of 405 nanometers. That’s in the violet spectrum of visible light.

But don’t be fooled, this laser isn’t just some sort of 21st century light saber. It’s got nine operating modes, including Constant Wave, Beacon, SOS, Strobe, and Tactical, so you’ll be sure to find all sorts of practical uses to shine its violet beam. On top of that, it’s powerful enough to set stuff on fire. Take it with you camping, use it to relight the pilot light in your fireplace, draw your name in the snow with it — just don’t point it at an airplane; you could get in serious trouble for that.

The Lunar laser is $300 and comes with a pair of LaserShades (trust us — you’ll need to wear them) and a holster.
